The TONI&GUY Charitable Foundation and The Variety Club Children's Charity invite you to an evening of combined celebration. Not only will this glittering event salute musical theatre itself. but also the career of the First Lady of Musical Theatre, Elaine Paige OBE.
Award winning Elaine Paige is an actress, singer, radio presenter and producer who has made a unique contribution to the development the stage musical. She has starred in more West End and Broadway musicals than anyone else of her generation. Smash hits include Jesus Christ Superstar, Billy, Evita, Cats, Chess, Hair, Anything Goes, Piaf, Sunset Boulevard, The King & I, Sweeney Todd and The Drowsy Chaperone amongst others. Elaine has also achieved chart topping success with hits including Memory, Don't Cry For Me Argentina and I Know Him So Well.
A thrilling live performer, Elaine has appeared in concert all over the world and has recorded 21 solo albums and earned eight consecutive gold and four multi-platinum discs. Elaine recently celebrated 40 wonderful years in show business with a sell-out UK tour, a book, Memories - Celebrating 40 Years In The Theatre and a CD entitled Elaine Paige Live - Celebrating A Life On Stage.
Elaine is one of BBC Radio 2's star presenters with her own lunchtime show Elaine Paige On Sunday which regularly attracts more than three million listeners.
All proceeds from the event will be divided between The Variety Club Children's Charity and The TONI&GUY Charitable Foundation in support of the TONI&GUY Ward at the Variety Club Children's Hospital in King's College Hospital.
