The Variety Club Showbiz Awards 2010

The biggest showbiz awards event of the year took place at The Grosvenor House in aid of The Variety Club

The ShowBiz Awards

When the Variety Club ShowBiz Awards were first held back in the black and white world of 1952, who could have predicted that 57 continuous years later the event would be more prestigious and popular than ever?

Once again, the Awards will be attended by top entertainment personalities embracing the worlds of television, film, comedy, theatre and classical and popular music. The event will be broadcast by Channel 5 and  Variety Club would like to thank Richard Woolfe, Channel Controller - FIVE for his invaluable support and also Michael Leggo and team who will produce this glittering extravaganza.

Variety Club are an amazing charity working all year round to better the lives of disabled and sick children. It's always an honour to be asked to be part of such an organisation. I've done bits and pieces for them over the years including a cinema trailer to launch their new website and a video message for a big city fund raiser which I'm told raised £250,000..not bad for 10 minutes work. And that's the point. You can get so much done for so little effort, it's humbling.

But it's not just about raising money it's also about winning awards...no wait, that's just me.
