A colourful day for the Legacy Rainbow House

A brand new Sunshine coach was generously given to The Legacy Rainbow House by the Variety Club and members of the De Vere Hotels and Resorts including: Paul Clark, Chief Executive Officer and David Steele, General Manager of the De Vere Collection.

Peter Price, renowned radio talkshow host was also there to help present the coach to the animated and excited children of the Legacy Rainbow House.

With 17 seats, the Sunshine Coach is specially designed for the specific needs of the children at Legacy Rainbow House including a tail-lift equipped to get the children on and off the bus easily. This will be a great advantage, giving the children a sense of freedom and opportunity to discover new places and new things.

The Legacy Rainbow House provides education for 172 children from birth - 18 years with various difficulties including cerebral palsy, chromosome disorders, and sensory impairments. A high proportion of the children are wheelchair users.

The Sunshine Coach will help parents who are unable to access transport to attend the charity's services and to take the children into the community for shopping and community learning during term time. In the Holidays the children will now have the chance to picked up and dropped off at the Legacy's holiday club and participate in fun activites, outings to the beach, countryside and cities. It will bring shining smiles to those little faces who need it most.
