Variety Wessex Goes Paintball Pro!
Written by Kate Walker 15th January 2012
Variety Wessex Chair and Secretary, Frances Cornelius reports on one of the region's first events of the New Year - taking a group of teenage boys on a special day out.

"Patron of Variety Wessex, Ricci Cobelli had undertaken the task to arrange several days out for six teenage boys who attend Victoria Education Centre, Branksome Park, Poole."
"These very special boys had given Variety Wessex a wish list of things they would like to do and ‘paintball’ was the first on their list."
"Paintball expert Simon Barnett brought all the equipment and with Ricci, arranged this fabulous event for the boys who all had a thoroughly enjoyable time on Tuesday 10th January. Targets were placed on trees in the wooded area of the school grounds and each boy took his turn in firing at them."
"Towards the end of the event Simon and Ricci were themselves the targets, both ending up with bruises on their shoulders and legs!"
'The boys had an excellent time and are already looking forward to the next event! Our thanks go to Simon and Ricci for all of their hard work in putting the day together."
