Batteries That Go On And On And On...

We were delighted to have the support of all the companies in the Signet Group - H Samuel, Ernest Jones and Leslie Davis, who joined forces to fundraise for Variety, the Children's Charity through the collection of watch batteries left behind by customers who were purchasing replacements.

This unique fundraising initiative raised the magnificent sum of £5,000 through the sale of the silver contained in the batteries.

Some of the money raised has been used immediately to fund items for the special needs sensory room at Lympsham Primary School in Weston-Super-Mare.

The school has 25 pupils with medical and special needs, and behavioural difficulties. The room will help calm the children, as well as helping with their learning.

H Samuel are a highly valued supporter of our work and have raised more than £150,000 to date through sales of collectibles in their Christmas catalogue, as well as the sale of Gold Hearts.

They have so far funded two Sunshine Coaches, provided equipment for youth clubs and helped to support our Christmas Appeal.
