The William R. Forman Heart Awards

On the Sunday Evening of the Convention the highly coveted Heart Awards were presented by International President Graham Mapp and International Vice President Anthony Hasham AM. The Heart Awards, named in honor of the late founder and Board Chairman of Pacific Theatres and veteran motion picture executive, are presented annually at the Variety International Convention on the evening of the Heart Awards Presentation Dinner.

The Gold Heart Award goes to the Tent which has demonstrated the most outstandingcollective efforts and contributions for community welfare in accordance with the aims and objectives of Variety International. The prime criterion for selecting the Tent to receive the Gold Heart Award is not necessarily how much money it raised or spent during the year, thus assuring every Tent, big or small, an equal opportunity to receive the coveted award. The Silver and Bronze Heart Awards are also awarded for outstanding contributions...

This year's finalists were Tent 7 Buffalo, Tent 13 Philadelphia, Tent 15 Iowa, Tent 17 Texas, Tent 21 Georgia, Tent 81 Eastern Tennessee, Tent 36 Great Britain, Tent 47 British Columbia, Tent 58 Manitoba, Tent 74 Western Australia, Tent 75 South Australia, Tent 76Queensland and Tent 77 Victoria.

And the winners were:

The Bronze Heart Award went to Tent 75 South Australia

The Silver Heart Award went to Tent 7 Buffalo

The Gold Heart Award went to Tent 15 Iowa
