Variety Club supporters DPD and Interlink Express picked up the Variety International Corporate Award at the Media & Marketing Awards Lunch on the Monday of the International Convention.
DPD and Interlink Express are Variety Club's longest standing supporters, with 17 years of support. In this time, they have raised in excess of £900,000 for the Sunshine Coach Programme. Thank you to Dwain Macdonald CEO of DPD and Interlink Express for accepting this award and a huge thank you to each and every single employer that has worked tirelessly to support the charity.
We had no hesitation in awarding them for the Variety International Corporate Award 2009. A company more deserving than DPD would be very difficult to find

Sky TV were awarded the Variety Television Media Award. Sky TV came on board three years ago as the media outlet for the Variety Club ShowBiz Awards. The production costs donated by SKY are daunting - over 150 thousand pounds.
Sky's Sophie Turner Laing and Richard Woolfe volunteered to produce the awards and co-chair the awards committee. The air time donated by SKY across their network is equally costly.
But the rewards to Variety have been priceless. You can see those rewards on the smiles of thousands of children who benefit from SKY's efforts in the U.K. In addition to the awards presentation, Sky has produced Variety Club appeal videos featuring Sir Michael Caine (have a look here). These highly effective broadcast appeals have resulted in 30 thousand pounds in contributions to date.
