Help Odeon raise vital funds for The Variety Club Children's Charity

08th July 2008

The Variety Club Children’s Charity and ODEON – the UK’s largest cinema chain – will be hosting exclusive preview screenings of the must-see, new film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging on Sunday 13 and Monday 14 July.

ODEON’s adopted charity, The Variety Club, will receive donations from the exclusive charity screenings of Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging – a coming of age comedy from the Director of Bend it Like Beckham, which centres on a 14-year-old girl who keeps a diary about the ups and downs of being a teenager.

Rupert Gavin, CEO, ODEON Cinemas says: “ODEON is Fanatical About Film and dedicated to supporting its adopted charities.  What better way for us to raise money for this very worthy cause than with exclusive screenings of one of the must-see films of the summer.”

Norman Kaphan, Variety Club Chief Executive, comments: “The Variety Club is very excited to be in partnership with ODEON. The cinema is a fantastic source of information and communication, and this partnership will help us to devise innovative projects and raise money for underprivileged children whilst providing a cinematic experience that will both educate and inform children and adults throughout the UK.”
