Young Variety
Young Variety is a group of enthusiastic volunteers in their twenties and thirties who are committed to helping sick, disabled and disadvantaged children. Not only do we raise vital funds but we place a priority on getting 'out and about' and helping children to have fun.
Help Young Variety raise money for their third Sunshine Coach!
'Sing Along with Chris Jarvis' is a compilation of 32 of Chris Jarvis’s children’s songs, all heard on BBC's CBeebies, especially made to raise money for Young Variety.
Monies from the CD sales will pay for Young Variety’s third Sunshine Coach with thanks to AXA PPP Healthcare who sponsored the manufacture and printing.
Young Variety enjoys making life more fun for children by arranging children's parties and trips to shows and attractions for schools and organisations like 'Party on the Pier', a family variety show in Bournemouth that rocked the seaside and entertained over 500 children. The Committee also introduced Hospital Walkabouts in 2005, and so far Chris Jarvis, Anna Williamson, Dave Benson Philips, Angelica Bell, Sid Sloane, Pui Fan Lee, Nicole Davies, Paul Hendy and Jake Humphrey are among those who have come to chat and play with the children.
Young Variety also has a great calendar of fundraising events such as the Autumn Ball, which has featured top entertainment from stars like Jamelia as well as great food and dancing all night!
We also organise summer barbecue parties, fashion show evenings and a masked ball - all great ways to have a fantastic evening out and at the same time support Variety Club.
So far Young Variety has raised enough funds to donate two Sunshine Coaches to Kings Avenue School, Clapham and Beaucroft School, Bournemouth and £10,000 for a hydrotherapy pool at The Children's Trust, Tadworth as well as fund the little extras always needed for the children's parties.
